In Nassau, Bahamas, a new 21st century port is ready for business. The new facility is expected to fill the needs of Nassau, for decades to come.
“We have invested $83 million in a port facility this island has never seen … We had to build a port, that can take care of the needs of Nassau, for the next 40 years;” said the CEO of Arawak Port Development Ltd.
The new NAVIS-Argo system, will be capable of tracking inventory on a scale, that is unprecedented. This will enable the Nassau shipping container facility, to manage their inventory much more efficiently.
Although the port is not completely operational yet, more and more containers are being moved from downtown, to the new site. The new port facility is expected to be full, in the next two weeks.
